Mervin Lamar "Buddy" Talbert Mervin Lamar "Buddy" Talbert, 90, born July 27, 1924 in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, passed away Sunday, June 28, 2015. Mr. Talbert was preceded in death by Patricia H. Talbert, wife of 55 years, and Juanita Talbert, wife of four years. He is survived by his children, Lamar Talbert (Charlotte), Charles Talbert (Lori), and Karen DiBiase (August); and grandchildren, Zach Talbert, Michael DiBiase, Kayla and Autumn Willoughby; special niece and nephew, Barbara and Tom Maryanski; as well as many other nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great- nephews. Mr. Talbert lived in Bristol since the 1930s, graduated from ETSU and Peabody with a Master's Degree in Education. He taught in the Bristol Tennessee school system for over 40 years. He was an active member of First Christian Church, Bristol, Va., and then Central Christian Church in Bristol, Tenn., chairing the Missions Committee for many years as well as being a member of the Willing Workers Sunday School Class. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2015 at 1 p.m. at Glenwood Cemetery in Bristol, Tenn. with Pastor Mark Overton officiating.
