Whitney Wiley, 13, died July 23, 2006, at Le Bonheur Children's Research Hospital in Memphis. She was born May 26, 1993, and was a resident of Clarksdale.
Survivors include her mother and stepfather, Draina Wiley and husband Ted Winters of Clarksdale; father and step-mother, W.L. Wilkins and wife Machella Moton of Clarksdale; 13 sisters, Rhoda Wiley, Franchissa Wiley, Christy Wiley, Wyniance Wiley, Ted'ranikica Winters, Tetra Winters, Jeancan Winters, Wyndrella Wilkins and Jamerica Moton, all of Clarksdale, Latisha Winters of New Albany, Pamela Collins of Jonestown, Terrha Maxwell of tunica, Wynetria McKnight and Andrika McKnight, both of Texas; eight brothers, Tyrone Winters, Alex Winters, Ted Winters Jr., Kenneth Winters, W.L. Wilkins III and W.L. Collins, all of Clarksdale, Rickey Butler of Alligator and Charles Stevens of Washington, D.C.; and four grandmothers, Almetia Wilkins of Clarksdale, Lillie Mae Wiley of Jonestown, M.C. Stuckey of Las Vegas, N.V. and Jessie Gladney of Batesville; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.
Family will receive friends from 1-5 p.m. today, July 28 at Woolf Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 29 at Chapel Hill Missionary Baptist Church, 1057 Page St., with Minister James Jackson officiating. Interment will follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
Arrangements are by Woolf Funeral Home in Clarksdale.
