He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Irving Harper and mother Delphine Brignac, brother Ronald, sister-in-law Beverly G, brother-in-law Roy H. and father-in-law Carlos Noto.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Laura Noto and children, Darren, Stephanie, Colleen and Christopher. Jerry was the devoted grandfather to his grandchildren, Jeanne, William Jaime and Emily. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and his beloved pet, Archie. He was born 78 years ago in French Settlement, LA. Jerry was a proud member of the last graduating class of Metairie High and Southeastern Louisiana University where he was a member of Kappa Delta Tau He was also a member of Independent Adjusters of Louisiana and the Good Ole Boys of Metairie. He retired in 1982 from American General and later that year he established Harper, Ltd., retiring in 2009.
Family and friends are invited to attend the funeral service on Thursday, July 2, 2015, at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Ponchartrain Blvd., New Orleans, from 12 pm - 2 pm, with religious services beginning at 2 pm, interment will follow in All Saints Mausoleum.
