MISHAWAKA - David G. Bramlett, age 83, passed away Tuesday, June 30, 2015, in his home. Dave was born November 14, 1931, in Springfield, Illinois, to the late George and Hazel Bramlett. Following his graduation from High School, Dave enlisted in the US Army where he served honorably during the Korean War Era. On June 25, 1954, he married Roberta J. Sicks in Alexandria, Virginia. They cherished 61 years of marriage. Surviving are his wife, Roberta "Bobbie" Bramlett of Mishawaka, and their daughters, Tracey (Brian) Kovatch of Jenison, Michigan, and Karen Bramlett of Granger. Also surviving are his siblings, Jon (Nora) Bramlett of South Bend, Anna Mae Coryell of Mishawaka; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Dave was preceded in death by his sister, Lucille Brown. There will be a private celebration of his life at a later date. Elkhart Cremation Services is assisting with arrangements. Dave was employed for 45 years as a precision machinist at Valley Machine in Elkhart. He enjoyed cars of all types and woodworking. Dave also loved to build and fly stunt kites, and passed his knowledge and passion for them on to his daughters and grandchildren. He also served as a Trustee for several years at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Mishawaka. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Food Bank of St. Joseph County, or the Center for Hospice.
