WASHINGTON - Martha A. Decker, 74, of Washington, formerly of Eureka, died at 11:31 a.m. Wednesday, July 1, 2015, at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria. Born Oct. 31, 1940, in Terre Haute, Ind., to Theron L. and Inez R. Taylor Elliott, she married Montie L. Decker on Feb. 25, 1961, in Casey, Ill. He survives.Also surviving are two sons, Timothy (Patty) Decker of Colfax and Daniel (Lynn) Decker of Brownsburg, Ind.; two daughters, Caroline (Douglas) Moore and Linda McGhee, both of Peoria; four grandchildren, Taylor, Elijah, Amanda and Brady; three stepgrandchildren; and two stepgreat-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Norma Monson. Martha worked in the records office at Eastern Illinois University from 1960 until 1962. She then stayed at home to raise her family. Martha enjoyed bird watching and being outdoors. She also loved horses and music. Spending time with her grandchildren brought her great pleasure. Martha and her husband have been snowbirds in Florida since 1996. A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday, July 6, 2015, at Deiters Funeral Home & Crematory in Washington. David Dundas will officiate. Visitation will be from 4 until 6 p.m. Sunday, July 5, 2015, at the funeral home and a half-hour prior to the service Monday.
