PLANTERSVILLE – Jennifer Judonne “J. J.” Lamb, 37, died Thursday, May 13, 2010, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo after a long illness. She was born in Tupelo on April 1, l973, to Fred Allen Lamb Sr. and Helen Adams Lamb. She grew up in the country east of Plantersville and attended the public schools at Plantersville. A Baptist, she loved computers, dogs, collecting Coca Cola products and memorabilia. She last worked as a dispatcher for Lee County 911 Communications before her health failed her. Her greatest joy was her family and friends who meant the world to her.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Tupelo Chapel of Holland Funeral Directors with Bro. Floyd Lamb officiating. Private burial will be Monday at Lee Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday and from noon to service time Sunday at the Tupelo Chapel.
Survivors include her mother, Helen Adams Lamb of Plantersville; her sister, Tammy Lamb (Lee) of Tupelo; three brothers, Fred Allen Lamb Jr. of Plantersville, Robert Hoyle Lamb (Nicole) of Nettleton and Steve Lamb Webb (Teresa) of Brookeville, Fla.; a very special friend and her family, Elizabeth Gonzales and her children, Tevian, Fabian and Shaila, and their dad, Jose Montanez; her nieces and nephews, Tiffany, Brittany, Chris, Zack, Nick, Harley, Ashley, Rachel and Brittany; a special aunt, Betty Whitehead of Plantersville; numerous cousins.
She was preceded in death by her dad, Fred Lamb Sr., who died May 2, 2001; and her grandparents, Minnie K. and Hoyle Lamb, and Calfie and May Adams.
Pallbearers will be Fabian and Tabian Gonzales, Chris Livingston, Nick Lamb, Zack Lamb, Niles Foster and Lee Collins. Honorary pallbearers will be Jose Montanez, Lindsay Williams, Wally Dunaway, Jason Adams and Shawn Roberts.
