Leslie F. Kerfien, Jr., 76, of Fulton, died Dec. 18, 2008.

Born in Fulton, he was a life resident. Mr. Kerfien worked at Armstrong World Industries for 43 years where he retired in 1995 as a supervisor. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War. He enjoyed camping and was an avid hunter and fisherman.

He was predeceased by his daughter, Sherry Ann Fetkiw, who died April 17, 2005.

Surviving are his wife, Shirley Shear Kerfien of Fulton; four sons, Leslie F. (Tonya) Kerfien, III, stationed at Ramstein Air Base, Germany, Ronald (Chris) Waterhouse of Clarksville, Tenn., Patrick (Joanne) Waterhouse of Oswego, and Richard Waterhouse of Oswego; one sister, Donna (Stanley) Gilliland of Fulton; seven brothers, Duane (Shirley) Kerfien, Robert (Patricia) Kerfien, Fred (Doris) Kerfien, Richard (Etta) Kerfien and Edward (Cheryl) Kerfien, all of Fulton, Charles (Darlene) Kerfien of Kannapolis, N.C., and Tom (Janet) Kerfien of Fulton; ten grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Monday at River of Life Assembly of God Church. Calling hours were held prior to the service at the church.

Contributions may be made to St. Jude Children´s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105-1942. Foster Funeral Home, Fulton has charge of arrangements.
