"MARIE DIERDORF SUCCUMBS AT 83
Funeral arrangements are pending at the Bedino Chapel of the Valley for Mrs. Marie C. Dierdorf, 83, Meadows Manor Nursing Home, formerly of West Terre Haute, who died Sunday at 7:15 p.m. Sunday in the Meadow Manor Nursing Home.
In 1949, she was the Indiana Mother of the Year. She was a member of the Bethany United Church of Christ, the West Terre Haute Eastern Star No. 48, and the White Shrine.
She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Pauline Van Hook, Chicago Ridge, Ill.; Mrs. Wilma Davis, Mesa, Ariz., and Mrs. Helen Cork, Marshall, Ill.; five sons, Melburn Dierdorf, Phoenix, Ariz.; Edwin and Charles Dierdorf, both of El Paso, Tex.; Doctor Fred Dierdorf, Terre Haute, and Herbert Richard Dierdorf, Danville, Ill.; a brother, Christoper Emheardt, Indianapolis; 16 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren."

Services for Mrs. Marie C. Dierdorf, 83, formerly of West Terre Haute, who died Sunday at Meadows Manor, will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Bedino Chapel of the Valley with the Rev. Alvin Ricklefs officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home, where OES memorial services will be conducted at 7 p.m. Tuesday."
