The daughter of the late Luther Lee and Evelyn (Webb) Williams, Evelyn Janice Williams was born August 13, 1943 in West Point Community, Texas.

She and Jimmy Mason were married September 30, 1961 at Goldthwaite, Texas. The parents of four children, Jimmy Dale, Carla, David and Brenda, they would have celebrated their 54th wedding anniversary this year.

A member of the Ahloso Baptist Church in Ada, Evelyn attended the New Hope Free Will Baptist Church in Lone Grove. She enjoyed gardening, fishing and time spent with her animals.

Evelyn is survived by her husband, Jimmy T. Mason of the home; four children and their spouses, Jimmy Dale Mason and Verna of Ada; Carla VanHuss and David of Healdton; David Mason and Alisha, and Brenda Stewart and Brad of Lone Grove; a sister, Nelda Jo Jones and brother, Jerry Lee Williams; thirteen grandchildren, Dewayne and Kenneth Pursiville, Daniel and Thomas Graham, Shari Mason, Sandra VanHuss, Lisa Mason, Ashlee VanHuss, Jessica and Mason Stewart, Brooklyn and Taylor Mason and Katie Stewart; also seventeen great-grandchildren.

Her parents; brothers, Alvis, Johnny and Larry; sisters, Boo and Helen Williams preceded her in death.

Funeral services for Evelyn Janice Mason, 71, will be Monday, July 6, 2015, at 9:30 a.m. in the New Hope Free Will Baptist Church of Lone Grove, Oklahoma, conducted by Rev. David Gardner and Brad Stewart. Burial at 4 p.m. that afternoon will be in the Union Cemetery, Gustine, Texas.
