KINGS MOUNTAIN- Mary Ethel Boone, 75, of 104 Wilson Acres Drive, passed away Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at her residence. A native of York County, SC, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Frances Blackwell Alexander. She was a member of Mary’s Grove Emmanuel Baptist Church in Cherryville. She was a very loving and peaceful wife, mother, and grandmother who loved all children. She was retired from Kings Mountain Knit.
PRECEDED: In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Jerry Melvin Boone; step-mother, Mary Helen Coble Alexander; sister, Judy Childers; brother, Jerry Alexander.
SURVIVED: She is survived by two sons, Rick Boone and wife Pam, and Jeff Boone; one daughter, Robin Boone all of kIngs Mountain; one brother, Johnny Alexander of Milford, NH; two sisters, Betty Hope and husband Rev. Bob Hope of Kings Mountain, Debra Hudson and husband Rollin of Milford, NH; Granddaughters and special care givers, Katelyn Braswell, Elizabeth Ledford, Christy Braswell; eight more grandchildren, Tyler Boone and wife Anna, Lindsey Braswell, Amber Braswell, Kale Braswell, Ava Anderson, Reannia Anderson, Chesley Anderson, and April Anderson; one great grandchild, James Boone.
SERVICES: A funeral service will be held 4:00 pm Friday at Mary’s Grove Emmanuel Baptist Church.
VISITATION: The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church
