Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, July 5 at Seals-Campbell Funeral Home in Marseilles with his son, Brian officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services on Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery in Marseilles with Military Honors.
He was born May 17, 1918 in Marseilles to George and Vivian (Kelly) Shelton. He was married to Clara Eldana Orvis who preceded him in death in 2005.
He served in the Army during WWII. He was employed by DuPont in Seneca until his retirement. Phil dedicated his life to helping others.
Philip is survived by his one son, Brian (Nora) Shelton of Palm Bay, FL; one granddaughter, Erica (David) Shepherd of Pontiac; three great-grandchildren, Hailey, Connor and Dawson; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by three sisters, Elizabeth Hopton, Doris Dumke, and Mary Shelton; and three brothers, Lyle, Thomas and Jerry Shelton.
