On Saturday, June 27, 2015, this world lost a kind, generous and caring soul, with the passing of Sara Lynn Fisher, 34, of Stevens Point, after a courageous five year battle with cancer. A celebration of Sara's life will be held from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, July 7, 2015, at The All-Purpose Lodge at Iverson Park. Donations in Sara's name can be made to Community Industries Corporation, Stevens Point in lieu of flowers.

Sara was born in Stevens Point on September 6, 1980. Sara is survived by her parents, Ann Marie Meshak (Don Rasmussen,) Roy Fisher, and Mark Falkowski, her sister and best friend, Laura Fisher (Daniel Pagel) of Wausau, many aunts, uncles, cousins, and her faithful and loyal dog Mya. She attended local schools, graduating from SPASH in 1999 and UWSP in 2003. Sara was previously employed with Park Ridge Pharmacy and Elder-Beerman. Her desire to help people led her to her job at Community Industries Corporation, where she recently celebrated her ten year anniversary. Sara focused on spending time with family and enjoyed cooking, baking, reading, travel, and applying make-up for formal events and weddings. She was an intelligent, selfless, and quick witted woman who focused on empowering others and making them happy.

Sara's family would like to thank Dr. Adedayo Onitilo, Dr. Benjamin Lawler, and the oncology staff involved with her care. A special thank you to Ministry Home Care Hospice, Joan Okray, and Vicki Okray for their compassionate care, understanding and guidance. They also wish to thank everyone from Community Industries Corporation, Rasmussen Plumbing & Heating and Rudy Rack for their continuous support to Sara and her family.

The family takes comfort in knowing Sara was surrounded and loved by family, friends, and co-workers and in believing she was welcomed by her grandparents and her uncle Rocky.
