Miss Laura Berry, one of the best Christian women in Danville, passed away at 1:30 o'clock this afternoon at the family residence on Walnut street. She had been dangerously ill for several weeks. She was a devoted member of the Christian church and had always been active in all church work and in charity work and in everything that was ennobling and lofty as exemplified in the true Christian character. She will be greatly missed in this community where by her acts and deeds of kindness she had endeared herself to the rich and poor alike.

Miss Berry was a native of Wayne county but had been a resident of Boyle for more than twenty five years. Since the death of her mother she and her brother, Mr. B.C. Berry had been residing at the old home on Walnut street.

The funeral will take place tomorrow at 3 o'clock followed by interment at Bellevue Cemetery. She is survived by one brother, Mr. B.C. Berry of Danville and two sisters, Mrs. R.B. Metcalfe of New York and Mrs. Emma Ingram of Valdosta, Ga.
