Robert Brown, (1764-1849), enlisted at sixteen and served on the Hudson. He reënlisted, 1781, in Capt. Charles Miel's company of Rangers; was captured while out scouting, and carried to New York, where he was confined in the Old Sugar House. He was born at Stonington, Conn., and was a pensioner of Belchertown, Mass., where he died.
