He was born January 28, 1977 in Monticello, AR to Linda Collins Crowell and Steve Collins (Christine).
Shane accepted Christ in his early childhood years and worshiped with several churches but remained true to his belief that "church was in his heart". He was educated in the Monticello School District with the Class of 1996. Shane, known by many as “SLIM”, was an avid fisherman. He also enjoyed hunting, detailing vehicles, mingling with family & friends, and just being a "family man". He was known by many as being a "Master Chef on the Grill". Shane touched so many people with his caring heart. He will always be remembered by his sweet spirit, his huge smile, his laughter and his jokes.
He was preceded in death by a son, Shane R. Collins, Jr., a brother, Shannon Collins, his grandparents: Alivirn Daniels, Augusta Collins, Leroy Rowlett and R.C. McCoy.
He leaves to cherish his memories: one son, Dathan Collins; one daughter, Shania Collins; five brothers, Cedric Lambert, Stefon Collins, Ramien Collins, Sedrick Arrington, Ty-rone Gardner and Christopher Moore; five sisters, Deetra Lewis (Joel), April Block, Stefanie Collins, Raquel Moore, and Patrice Moore; his grandmother, Alene McCoy; a special friend Kamisha Davis; an Aunt, Rosalind Daniels, and an Uncle, Kenneth Thompson.
Funeral service will be 11:00 AM, Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at Stephenson-Dearman Chapel with burial to follow in Oakland Cemetery.
