Ronnie Edward Young, 61, died June 30, 2015 in Pampa.

Memorial services will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.

Mr. Young was born February 21, 1954 in Friona. He had been a resident of Pampa since 1955. He married Linda Palmer on July 4, 2001 in Pampa. Ronnie was a veteran of the U. S. Army, serving during the Vietnam War. He worked for Zachry Industrial, Mundy Corporation and Beacon Supply as a heavy equipment and crane operator.

Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents, Joe Young and Blondine Berryman Young.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Young of the home; two sisters, Connie Coble and husband Jesse of Borger, and Debbie Norris and husband Garland of Canyon; and a brother, Walter Young of Amarillo; three stepsons, Gerald Goad of New Jersey, Cecil Yates Goad and wife Kim of Dallas, and Ralph Yates of Granbury; a stepdaughter, Tammey Smith and husband Brian of Fort Worth; six step grandchildren and three step great grandchildren.

PAMPA — Ronnie Edward "Popeye" Young, 61, of Pampa died Tuesday, June 30, 2015.

Memorial services will be at a later date. Arrangements are by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa.

Mr. Young was a veteran of the Army, serving during the Vietnam War. He worked for Zachry Industrial, Mundy Corporation and Beacon Supply as a heavy equipment and crane operator.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Young; two sisters, Connie Coble of Borger and Debbie Norris of Canyon; a brother, Walter Young of Amarillo; three stepsons, Gerald Goad of New Jersey, Cecil Yates Goad of Dallas and Ralph Yates of Granbury; a stepdaughter, Tammey Smith of Fort Worth; six stepgrandchildren; and three stepgreat-grandchildren.
