Judith Jayne Clayton, 73, of Idaho Falls, Idaho passed away Sunday June 28, 2015, from Alzheimer’s at Peaks Village in Ammon, from Alzheimer’s. She had been under the care of Hearts for Hospice.

She was born December 27, 1941, in Cheyenne, Wyoming, to Donald F. Rogers and Margaret Iddings Rogers. Besides growing up in Cheyenne, she also lived in Sydney, Nebraska, and Salt Lake City, Utah. She graduated from Olympus High School in Salt Lake in 1960.

She married Lawrence Dunthorn of Twin Falls. They were later divorced. She married Richard Beggs of Northglenn, Colorado and they later divorced. On August 9, 1990, she married Durk Clayton in Idaho Falls.

She was a homemaker and a waitress at various establishments including J.B.’s.

Judy enjoyed camping, sewing, decorating for holidays, cooking and baking.

The family would like to thank the staff of Hearts for Hospice and the staff of Peaks Village for the wonderful care given to Judy.

She is survived by the following: Spouse, Durk Clayton of Idaho Falls;
Daughters: Kristi (Erwin) Prouse of Belgrade, Montana and Debbie Henscheid of Idaho Falls; Sons: Steve (Carla) Dunthorn of Ammon, Idaho, and Eric Beggs of Northglenn, Colorado; Step-daughter, Sasha (Chris)Worrell of Rexburg, Idaho; Brothers: Tom Rogers of Highlands Ranch, Colorado, and Don Rogers of Houston, Texas; Sister-in-law: Brenda Neeley of Jacksonville, Florida; Mother-in-law: Sherolene (Maynard M. Clayton, deceased) of Idaho Falls; 19 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents: Don and Margaret Rogers; grandmother, Jeanette Leslie; father-in-law, Maynard Merrill Clayton; and a sister-in-law, Aleta Clayton.

A private family Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First St., Idaho Falls.
