Ross Allen Williamson age 63, a lifetime resident of Hayward passed away at Water’s Edge Care Center on June 25, 2015 at 11:20 a.m. surrounded by his children and family who loved him.

Sadly Ross lost his hard fought battle to Corticobasal Degeneration. Ross was the first son born to Sonny and Louise Williamson on March 31, 1952 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Duluth MN. He was one of seven children. After graduating from Hayward High School he worked with his dad at Hayward Wood Products, the family owned business. He later became a partner in Williamson Distributing, then owner of Rosebud Septic Service, and lastly worked again as a beer man for Preferred Beverage out of Rice Lake, WI.
Ross was an avid outdoorsman and hunter. He enjoyed years at deer camp and numerous hunting trips outside of Wisconsin.

He was a member of the Odd Fellow Lodge and spent many years as a Volunteer Fireman for the city of Hayward. Ross skied the Birkebeiner twice to raise money for the Lupus Foundation. His children and family were most important to him. Ross was a caregiver for his father, enabling him to pass away in the family home where his dad was also born.
