Of Bull Shoals, Arkansas passed away June 29, 2015, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 74. He was born May 25, 1941, in Lithium, Missouri, the son of Champ and Edith Lyle Preston. He married Linda Bonney on February 14, 1980, at Perryville, Missouri. Wayne was a truck driver for 28 years for Gilster Mary Lee, but at heart he was a gentleman farmer. After retiring Wayne and Linda owned and operated the Pine Lodge Motel in Bull Shoals, AR for 16 years and the Cedar Glade Trailer Park in Flippin, AR. He and Linda loved to travel and eventually they made their winter home in Mission, TX. He was a member of the Christ by the Lake Lutheran Church. Wayne never met a stranger and he loved to talk and drink coffee. If you needed something, he was there.
He was preceded in death by his parents of Bull Shoals, Arkansas,Wayne is survived by his wife, Linda Preston of Bull Shoals, AR; daughters, Cynthia (Mike) Fahrendorf of Baldwin, MO; and Brandie (Joe) Recar of Arnold, MO; sister, Marjorie (Tom) Anderson of Imperial, MO; four grandsons and two granddaughters as well as many friends.
