Arthur Robert Matthews, 84 of Tulsa died Sunday, June 28, 2015.
He was born June 23, 1931 in West Warwick, Rhode Island to John Edward and Ethel (Klammer) Matthews.
Arthur received his Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering and worked for Fram, later becoming Purolator where he retired.
He served as an aircraft mechanic in the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict.
He married Ingrid Kastning on January 16, 1993 in Oklahoma City, and they now live in Tulsa.
Arthur was an avid cyclist and a member of the Oklahoma Bicycle Society and Tulsa Bicycle Club. He was a very talented woodworker and a Scout Master for the Boy Scouts.
He is survived by his wife Ingrid of the home; two sons Arthur R. Matthews, Jr and wife Marj of Oklahoma City, Gregory Paul Matthews of Glendale, Az.; Step-daughter Erika Wyatt and husband Kent of Tulsa; two grandchildren Nolan & Anna Wyatt; two brothers Michael and Richard Matthews; two sisters Doris Sroka and Ellen Wilson; as well as a host of relatives and friends.
Arthur was preceded in death by his first wife, Jacqueline June Matthews, his parents and a brother John.
