Jeanne Frances Offenberger, 92, passed away Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at Harmar Place of Marietta, Ohio.

She was born on August 21, 1922 in the Churchtown area to Frederick Elton and Hattie Charlotte Weihl Beebe. She was a member of The Basilica of St. Mary of the Assumption church. She loved country music and dancing. She was known for her quick wit and her jokes.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Francis Offenberger, whom she married on her 18th birthday.

She is survived by two sons, David and his wife Priscilla and Danny and his wife Karen. She had seven grandchildren and their families. She also is survived by twelve great-grandchildren and two step great-grandchildren. Also, by three sisters-in-law Winifred Strauss, Frances Farley, and Hester Offenberger, and former daughter-in-law Anna McCarthy.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Harold and Denver Beebe and an infant; and five sisters: Clelan Markley, Oneida Casto, Martha Henry, Garnet Bosner, and an infant. Also, an infant grandson, Daren Michael Offenberger, preceded her in death.

The family will greet friends beginning at 2 pm Thursday at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with the family present from 2-4 and 6-8. The rosary will be recited at 3pm.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 am Friday July 3rd at the Basilica of St. Mary of the Assumption with Msgr. Michael Campbell as celebrant. Burial will follow at the Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery in Lowell.

Dinner will be served in the social hall of The Basilica following the services.
