Sgt. Matthew D. Reynolds, age 29, passed away June 22, 2015 in Colorado Springs, Colo.

He was born on August 4, 1985 in Omaha, Neb. to David and Jeanne (Suddbrock) Reynolds. He grew up in Council Bluffs and attended school at Thomas Jefferson in Council Bluffs and received his GED in Denison, Iowa. Matthew met Tina Donaldson through mutual friends and on March 30, 2006 the couple was united in marriage. Three children were born from this union: sons, Dominic Matthew and Nickolai Owen and daughter, Cammy Jo. Matthew joined the United States Army in July 2008 and served in Iraq and Afghanistan. He was currently active duty infantry.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents.

He is survived by his wife, Tina Reynolds; sons, Dominic Matthew Reynolds and Nickolai Owen Reynolds; daughter, Cammy Jo Reynolds; parents, David and Jeanne Reynolds; brothers, David Reynolds II and his wife, Amanda, Todd Jensen, and Todd “Tye” Burnett; extended family and friends.

Visitation will be Sunday, July 5, 2015 from 1p.m. to 8 p.m., with the family present from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., at Hoy- Kilnoski Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Monday, July 6th, at 10 a.m., at Hoy- Kilnoski Funeral Home. Military rites will take place in Garner Township Cemetery. A luncheon will follow burial at Mabrey Park, 17th and Willow, in Carter Lake. Memorials may be directed to the Wounded Warrior Project.
