Randall E. Cochran Jr.
Age 69, passed from this life into the next on Saturday June 27, 2015 at Sparrow Hospital Ionia.

Randy was born on November 3, 1945 the son of Randall E. and Mary (Elam) Cochran in Anna, Illinois.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Merikay Cochran; his three children, Ross (Cheryl) Parmalee of Portland, MI, Chad (Roschenne) Parmalee of Battle Creek, MI and Michelle (Brad) Granzow of East Lansing, MI; nine grandchildren, Scott (Erin) Parmalee, Michael (Jen) Parmalee, Katelyn Parmalee, Tricia Parmalee, Travis Parmalee, Shae Parmalee, Cade Parmalee, Megan Granzow and Paige Granzow; and one great grandchild Bristol Parmalee. Also surviving are his siblings Marilyn (Nate) Goldberg of Saugus, CA and Dennis (Anna) Cochran of Front Royal, VA and two brothers-in-law, Gary (Sue) Fowler of Statesboro, GA and Blaque (Barbara) Fowler of Hendersonville, NC; many nieces, nephews, friends and relatives. Randy was preceded in death by his wife Kathleen (Kraemer) Cochran in 1971, his parents, and his brother Charles E. Cochran.

Randy grew up in Lansing, graduated from Lansing Eastern High School in 1963, attended Michigan State University and served in the US Navy between 1966 and 1970. He retired from Bank One in Grand Rapids, MI in 2003 after a 35 year career in the banking industry. In retirement he was a bus driver for special needs children with Dean Transportation in Charlotte, MI. Randy spent his time doing the things he loved with the people he loved. His grandchildren were the center of his life. He rarely missed any activity in which any of them played a part. He loved college football and basketball and made every MSU Spartan game a family event. His family loved him and will miss very much.

Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at Lehman Funeral Home, 210 E. Bridge St., Portland with Rev. Scott K. Otis officiating. The family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home. For those wishing, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association in memory of Randy.
