Joel Franklin "Jody" Robinson, age 91, of Marshfield, passed away Wednesday, July 5, 2006, 11:41 a.m., in Cox South hospital, following a sudden illness. His family was at his bedside. Jody was the son of Christopher Robinson and Ora (Kilburn) Robinson. He was preceded in death by his parents; 10 brothers and sisters; his wife of 62 years, Pearl; and a grandson, Kirk. He is survived by a daughter, Janice McDonald and husband, Bill; two sons, Jack and his wife, Ellen, Joe Bill and Sharon; seven grandchildren, Jeff, Melissa, Meghan, Sarah, Holly, Tyler, and Tucker; a "special little buddy", Brady Taylor; a brother, Chris of Moline, Ill.; and a sister, Margaret Myers of the state of Washington. Jody was born in Webster County and lived his entire life in the Marshfield community. Retired from Webster Electric Cooperative, Jody spent his retirement years enjoying his family, his friends at the local coffee shop, and the love of being outdoors and operating farm and yard equipment. No formal visitation is planned, friends may pay their respects at Day Funeral Home this afternoon and Saturday morning. Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 8, 2006, at 1 p.m. under the direction of Day Funeral Home, Marshfield, Mo., with Pastor Clyde McClain officiating. Burial will be in the Marshfield Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Webster Electric Foundation, Marshfield, Mo., and left at the funeral home.
