Funeral services for Leona Marie Janssen, 72, of Rosenberg, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 8, at the Davis Funeral Chapel in Rosenberg, with interment following at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg. Rev. Harvey Abke will officiate the services. Honorary pallbearers are Thomas Marek, Terence Marek, Travis Marek, Neal Janssen, Kevin Janssen, Russell Hahn, Dennis Hahn, Jay Marek, Phillip Marek, Josh Marek, Cody Radley, Darren Novak, and James Olsovsky. Visitation will be held from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m., with family receiving friends from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 7, at Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home, 3900 B.F. Leona was born Feb. 25, 1926 in El Campo, and she passed away Tuesday, Oct. 6, 1998 in Rosenberg.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Gus W. Janssen and Emma M. Priesmeyer Janssen; and her sisters, Dorothy Slezinsky and Gloris Marek.
She is survived by a brother, William Janssen of Edna, and a sister, Marlene Hahn of Ganado.
