Karin retired in 2004 from the Northern Community School Corporation after 34 years of service as a cook. In her spare time she enjoyed crocheting, cooking and was an avid gardener. She treasured her family and always looked forward to the times they could all be together.
Survivors include her husband Robert Johnson of Windfall, her two daughters; Anna and husband James Bower of Windfall and Kelly Johnson of Tipton. Other survivors include her grandchildren; Brady (Kendra) Foreman of Kokomo, Tyler (Mary) Bower of Windfall, Shawn Bower of Windfall, Logan (Laura) Bower of Noblesville and her three great grand children; Kaden Bower, Trace Bower and Ari Foreman. Karin was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Tracey Johnson.
The family would like to offer a sincere thank you to Guardian Angel Hospice in Kokomo for the wonderful care they gave to Karin during her illness.
Visitation is scheduled from 12 to 3 PM on Wednesday July 1, 2015 at the Porter Funeral Home located at 726 East North Street in Tipton. Funeral services will follow at 3 PM the same day at Porter’s with Pastor Chris Ellis officiating. Interment will follow in the Windfall’s Brookside Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association with envelopes available at the funeral home.
