He retired from the Department of Defense and was a Navy veteran. He was active in the Fairfield Fire Co. for 33 years. He was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Carol (Houghton); two sons, Leslie Morton Jr. and William Morton; a daughter, Stephanie Parks; a sister, Lois Ann Ice, Shippensburg, Pa.; his stepmother, Frances Morton, Zephyrhills; eight grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
