Mrs. Christa Nicole Lewis Thompson, 27, of Killen, Texas and formerly of Fitzgerald, died Monday, June 2, 2014.
Funeral services were held at Pleasant Grove First Baptist Church, Ocilla, Ga. Interment followed at Ocilla City Cemetery.
Mrs. Thompson was born to the late Terry Lewis and Michele Lewis Wilcox on December 8, 1986, at Darnell Community Hospital in Fort Hood, TX. At an early age she joined Pleasant Grove 1st Baptist Church of Irwin County.
On March 23, 2006, she joined the U. S. Army where she received the Iraq Campaign Medal with two campaign stars; Army Commendation Medal (2nd award); Army Achievement Medal (2nd award); Army Good Conduct Medal; National Defense Service Medal; Global War on Terrorism Service Medal; Non-Commissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon; Army Service Ribbon; Overseas Ribbon (2nd Award); Combat Action Badge and the Certificate of Achievement.
Mrs. Thompson was a devoted mother, auntie, sister and friend. She loved her family and most of all, she loved her three daughters "Barbies".
Survivors include her husband; her three daughters (barbies); her mother and step-father; three brothers; two sisters and her grandmother of Ocilla. She is also survived by a host of additional family.
Henderson Memorial Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
