Dustin (Dusty) Allen Burns was born on November 19, 1982 in Columbus, Mississippi to Mary Sue Green and Don Burns. He departed this life on Saturday, June 20, 2015 in Pensacola, Florida. He was 32. Dustin attended Kosciusko High School and East Holmes Academy. He worked as an independent contractor and a commercial fisherman in Pensacola, Florida. Anyone who knew Dustin considered him the funniest person they had ever known. He always had a smile on his face and a joke to tell. He cared deeply for his family and friends, and there was never a dull moment when he was around. His humor was unforgettable, and left an imprint on many people's lives. "He was one of the realest to ever do it."
He is survived by his children, Hunter, John Allen, Aubreigh, Eli, and Alyssa; his grandfather, Emanuel Blasingame; his father, Bill Green; brother, John (Karen) Reynolds; sisters, Dana (Karl) Evertz and Anne (Darrell) Manning; stepsisters, Ann Massey, Billy Sue Bright, Glenda Dickerson, and Linda Cummings; a host of nieces and nephews; and many other loved ones. He is preceded in death by his mother, Mary Sue Green; his father, Don Burns; and his uncle, Jerry Blasingame. A memorial service will be held at 4 pm on June 29, 2015 at Culpepper Funeral Home in Kosciusko, Mississippi. James Tatum will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and to remember Dustin's life. In lieu of flowers, donations for his children may be sent to The Dustin Burns' Children's Fund at any Regions Bank branch.
