Michael Clark Wingert, the son of Robert Benjamin and Thecia (Babbitt) Wingert, was born at Duncombe, Iowa on May31,1943. He lived his youth and received his education while residing at Duncombe. Mike was a graduate of Duncombe High School.

During his professional career, he was a business executive for AT&T and lived in various cities throughout the United States. Due to health reasons, he retired early from AT&T. He moved to Hartley, Iowa in 1993. He died at Marian Health Center at Sioux City, Iowa on October 10. 1996, at the age of 53 years, four months and nine days.

He is survived by four daughters: Michelle Morehead of Seney, la., Teresa Vogelaar and Elizabeth Paulsen, both of Sanborn, la., and Deborah Wingert of Omaha, Neb.; seven grandchildren; five brothers: Ed Wingert of Des Moines, la. Father Bill Wingert of Hartley, la..Jack Wingert of Piano, Tex., Jim Wingert of Hartley, la. and Gene Wingert of Fredericksburg, Va. and his brother-in-law, Jim McGuire of Holstein, Ia.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, one brother in infancy, and one brother-in-law.

Memorial services were held October 12 at St. Cecilia's Catholic Church with Father David Hemann officiating. Burial was in St Cecilia's Cemetery, Sanborn, with Sanborn Funeral Home in charge.
