"Mrs. Mary Louise Fulkerson, widow of Thomas Franklin Fulkerson, formerly of Chillicothe and an aunt of Palmer Milbank of this city, died Friday morning at the home of a son, Charles Fulkerson in Waterbury, Conn., where she had gone for a visit.

Mrs. Fulkerson and her sister, Mrs. W. D. Scampton, who resides in Moberly, had visited last week in St. Louis and went by plane to Waterbury on Thursday. Mrs. Fulkerson seemed to feel well Thursday night, but became ill early Friday morning and died in about an hour.

Mrs. Fulkerson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Milbank, was born in Chillicothe. She was married to Mr. Fulkerson in 1909. Mr. Fulkerson was an early owner of the old Moberly Light and Power Company. Mr. Fulkerson died in Moberly last April. They had moved to Kansas City from Moberly and also lived in Chillicothe and Kirksville before returning to Moberly last September when Mr. Fulkerson became ill.

Besides the son in Waterbury and her sister, Mrs. Fulkerson is survived by another son, Major William Fulkerson of Kirksville. A daughter, Mary Louise, died in 1935.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 o'clock Tuesday afternoon from the Mahan Funeral Home of Moberly. Graveside services will be held at Edgewood Cemetery in Chillicothe at 4:30 o'clock." The Chillicothe Constitution Tribune, July 17, 1950
