Obituary published in The Gospel Messenger, December 28, 1907, page 842:

Eikenberry, Bro. Solomon, born in Preble County, Ohio, Dec. 18, 1834, died in the bounds of the Rock Lake church, N. Dak., Nov. 26, 1907, aged 72 years, 11 months and 8 days. His first marriage was with Sarah Ann Myers, March 20, 1858, who died April 18, 1880. His second marriage was with Rebecca Weitzel. He, with his family, removed to North Dakota in April, 1898. He served many years in the office of deacon, always faithful and prompt to perform his duty. He called for the anointing a few days prior to his death. His wife, two sons and two daughters survive. Funeral discourse from 2 Tim. 4: 6-8.
