Max J. Tauschek, age 93, of 1302 Mahogany Run, Manitowoc, Wisconsin, died Friday morning, June 26, 2015 at Laurel Grove Assisted Living of Manitowoc.
Max was born April 3, 1922 in the city of Manitowoc, son of the late Carl and Clarie (Bauer) Tauschek. He was a graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School and a graduate of the University of Wisconsin - Madison with a degree in engineering. On October 27, 1943, Max married the former Marilyn Kuhl at Holy Innocence Catholic Church, Manitowoc. She preceded him in death on February 5, 2007. Max was an engineer with TRW in Cleveland, Ohio for most of his career. He was also a member of Phi Beta Kappa.
Max is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law: Terry (Debi) Tauschek, Anchorage, Alaska and Jim (Janis) Tauschek, Verona, Wisconsin; one daughter: Patty Tauschek, Vermillion, Ohio; ten grandchildren and many great-grandchildren; one sister: Joan Luchsinger, Manitowoc. Many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. He was also preceded in death by one grandson: Marcus Dryfuse.
A private family visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday morning, June 30, 2015 at the Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
