Donald Robert Tapp, 64, of 817 15th St., Fort Madison, died at 4:17 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 9, 2000, at his home. He had been ill for the past three years.
Born Aug. 24, 1936, in Galesburg, Ill., he was the son of George Stanley and Willa Juanita Aby Tapp.
Mr. Tapp was a retired veteran of the U.S. Air Force and retired from J.I. Case Co. in 1996.
He was a member of Tokyo Masonic Lodge No. 2 of Japan.
Survivors include four daughters, Cheryl Ann Tapp of Las Vegas, Teresa Denise Tapp of Fort Madison, Gail Louise Gordon of Victorville, Calif., and Susan Hope Tapp of Westminster, Calif.; two brothers, George Tapp of Luellen, Neb., and Dave Tapp of Marion; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. today at King-Lynk Funeral Home in Fort Madison, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m.
The graveside service for Mr. Tapp will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Linwood Cemetery, Galesburg, Ill., with the Rev. Charles Holmgren officiating.
A memorial has been established for Disabled American Veterans.
