A native of Sciotoville, Ohio, Butch was a longtime resident of Vidor, Texas, who loved woodworking, gardening, music, and cooking. He also loved to spend quality time with his grandchildren, family, and dog Tudy.
Butch is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Barbara Powell; two sons, Jeffrey Powell and wife Jamie and Ben Powell; three grandchildren; and two sisters, Bonnie Grow and Patricial Elrod.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Leonard Powell and sister, Mary Blackburn.
