George Michael Lentz was born 3 November 1757 in what was then Heidelburg Township, Lancaster County (now Lebanon County), Pennsylvania.
George Michael died in Halifax Township in the area later named Jackson Township, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania.
His tombstone is engraved with REV WAR inscription. There is a record of a George Lentz serving in the revolution, but his identity needed to be proved. A pension file for his brother Jacob Lentz, provided the proof that confirmed it for me. The file contains a certified deposition from another brother, John Georg Lentz: Lebanon County
