Julian L. (Dud) Benton, 58, 118 S. Jessamine Ave., Sanford, died Wednesday night at Seminole Memorial Hospital. He was a native of Newton, Ala., coming to Sanford from there in 1921. He was employed by Sanford Gas Company for many years and for the last years until his illness by the County Road Department. He was a member of the First Baptist Church. Survivors included his wife, Marnie Benton, of Sanford; three daughters, Mrs. Joe Douthitt, Mrs. Ray Edwards, both of Sanford, Mrs. Ralph Elliott, Altamont Springs; three brothers, Morris and Edgar Benton both of Sanford, and Kenneth Benton of Mims; and eight grandchildren. Gramkow Funeral Home is in charge.
