Edna Henderson, 66, of Amarillo died Wednesday, June 24, 2015.

Memorial services will be at 3 p.m. Monday in Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Edna was born Sept. 18, 1948, in Kingston, N.Y., to Otto Wallevik and Mary Berge. She married B.J. Henderson on Sept. 12, 1970, in Naval Station Chapel in San Diego. She loved to read and knit. Her family is originally from Norway and came to the United States after World War II. She was the first child in her family born in America. They bought a farm near Stone Ridge, N.Y.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Art.

Survivors include her husband, B.J.; two daughters, Mary Tezak and husband Lloyd of Amarillo and D’Ann Armstrong and husband Jeffrey of Lavon; and a sister, Ole Jacobsen and husband Pete of Wellington, Ky.
