Carl Lewis Aaron, 86, of Kokomo, went to be with our Lord at 7:00PM Friday, June 25, 2015 at Indiana Veterans Home. He was born to William H. Aaron, and Helen Marie (Deweese) Aaron on October 2, 1928. He married his wife Sarah Jane West, August 2, 1948 in Peru. She preceded him in death.
Carl retired from Chrysler after 25 years of service. He was enlisted in the United States Marine Corps January 15, 1952, and was Honorably discharged January 14, 1960. Carl earned a Nation Defense Service Medal, Korean Service Medal, and the United Nations Service Medal. He enjoyed sitting in the sun, fiddling around in his garage, and loved old cars.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, brothers, William Aaron Jr., Larry Aaron, Daniel Aaron, and sister, Jean “Sis” Boque.
Surviving Carl is his son Mark Aaron (Sherrie) Kokomo, brothers, Thomas, James, and Norman Aaron, sisters, Alma “Tootie” R. Harner, and June K. Aaron, grandchildren, Jacob M., Jennifer M., and Katie E. Aaron, several nieces and nephews.
Services June 30th at Ellers Mortuary Main Street Chapel, 725 South Main Street with Pastor Steve Sherwood officiating. . Burial will follow the service at Albright Cemetery with Military Rites.
