Betty Lou (Jones) Williams
KINGSPORT - Betty Lou Jones Williams, 70, entered into rest after a courageous battle with cancer Wednesday (June 22, 2005) at her residence.
She was born to the late Conley Cecil Jones and Maude Lee McClellan Jones in Scott County, Va. on June 25, 1934.
She is survived by her husband, Harlan V. Williams, Kingsport; one daughter, Deborah "Debbie" Blakely, Panama City, Fla.; two grandchildren, Jessica Blakely, Kingsport and Whitney Mullins, Panama City, Fla.; sister, Lillian Frazier, Colonial Heights; brother, Bill Jones, Rogersville; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Gate City Funeral Home and other times at the residence.
Services will be at 8 p.m. today in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Paul Lane and Rev. Bob Ray Lane officiating.
Music will be provided by Wendell Williams and Vilas Bowen.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Holston View Cemetery, Weber City, Va. The family will meet at 12:15 p.m. at the funeral home to go in procession to the cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Vernon Williams, John Crawford, Thomas Williams, Dwain Williams, Wendell Williams and William Harvey Lawson.
