Everett Lyle Henson, 89, a resident of Pleasant Ridge Manor West, Girard, died Thursday, Dec. 5, 2002.
He was born Nov. 13, 1913, in Buena Vista, Va., son of the late Cleston and Eva Taylor Henson.
He worked as a pipe fitter for Zurn Industries, retiring in 1983 after 20 years. He formerly worked at Robesor Process for more than 30 years. He was a member of St. Stephen's Episcopal Church and the Tri-Boro Senior Citizens Center in Fairview Township.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Virginia Elliott Henson; a sister, Blanche Goldsby; two brothers, Norman and Amos Henson; and a stepdaughter, Nora Steadman.
Survivors include his wife, Myrtle G. Henson, whom he married in 1996; two daughters, Phyllis Sturtevant and her husband, Richard, of Conneaut, Ohio, and Linda Thomas and her husband, Donald, of McKean; two sisters, Hayden Humphreys of Erie and Reba Patmore of Arizona; two stepdaughters, Mary Jane Vogt and her husband, Lawrence, and Nancy Conrad and her husband, John, all of Girard; two stepsons, James Leczner of Albion and Frank O. Leczner of Girard; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a great-great-granddaughter; and several stepgrandchildren.
Friends may call Sunday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Burton Funeral Home, 602 W. 10th St. A service will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church.
Burial will be at Lakeside Cemetery.
