Gary Mullins died at home at the age of 76. He was the oldest child. He attended schools in Hagerman and American Falls, Idaho. He briefly attended Idaho State University. He then enlisted in the Army in 1959. After a tour in Germany, he was selected to serve in Washington D.C. (The Old Guard) serving President Kennedy. He then was deployed to Laos. During the Vietnam War, he left the Army and re-enrolled at Idaho State University. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in 1967. He then worked for the Recreational Department in Boise, Idaho, as an Assistant Director, then as a Director. He reenlisted, this time in the Army Reserve, he served as a First Sergeant and a Unit Administrator. He accumulated 32 total years of enlistment, before retiring, last rank held as Sergeant Major.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dorothy & Ernest Mullins. He was survived by: A son John Mullins and a daughter Jennifer, three grandchildren, a sister Joan Mullins, and his three beloved dogs-Molly, Polly, and Dolly.
