NEW BEDFORD-Sara M. (Babineau) Marshall, 98, of New Bedford died Saturday, May 16, 2015 at St. Luke's Hospital. She was the widow of Carl W. Marshall and daughter of the late Edward and Pauline (Votour) Babineau. Born in Notre Dame, New Brunswick, Canada, she came to New Bedford with her family at the age of 4.

She was a communicant of Holy Name of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church and enjoyed playing bingo. Mrs. Marshall attended Capeway Adult Day Care for many years. Mrs. Marshall was employed in the dietary department at Sacred Heart Home until her retirement.

Her family includes her son, Charles E. "Eddie" Marshall and his wife, Rosemary of New Bedford; her daughters, Carole Frazier and her husband, Dennis Frazier, Jr. of Lakeville and Mary E. Gross and her husband, Bruce E. Gross of Plymouth; one sister, Rose St. Don of Florida; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was the sister of the late Henry, Albert and Clifford Babineau, Laura Haskell and Alice Daigle.

Her funeral will be conducted Wednesday morning 9:15 at the funeral home with a Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated in Holy Name of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church at 10:30. Interment in Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Aubertine-Lopes Funeral Home, 129 Allen St., New Bedford.
