Lois M. Adams Aug. 16, 1930 - March 31, 2008

Lois Marie (Horton) Adams, 77, Anderson, passed away March 31, 2008, at St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis, after a brief illness.

She was born Aug. 16, 1930, in Anderson, and resided in Anderson most of her life.
She worked for R.W. Willis Oil Co. and had worked for several years at the Anderson Trustee Office.

Lois was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 266 Ladies Auxiliary and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion Post 127, Order of Eastern Star Chapter 154 and Grandview Social Club. She was an avid golf fan, football fan and loved working crossword puzzles.

She is survived by her son, Neal Fetz of Edgewood; sisters, Malinda (husband, Stan) Hinshaw of Anderson, and Sid Beamer of Anderson; brothers, Gary (wife, Madge) Summit of Anderson and Bud (wife, Freda) Summit of Anderson; sister-in-law Shirley Summit of Anderson; two grandchildren, Tanner Fetz of Edgewood and Danielle Fetz of Muncie; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel S. Adams; father, Herbert H. Horton; mother, Helen Marie (Doles) Holliday, brother Billy Summit; and a sister, Margaret Huntzinger.

Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Robert D. Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, South Chapel, 200 W. 53rd St., Anderson, with Pastor Dennis Zirkle officiating. Burial will be in the Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. Thursday at the South Chapel.

Memorial contributions may be made to the VFW Post 266.
