Jeffrey Ray Freeman, 65, Lafayette and formerly of Attica, passed away on Friday, June 26, 2015, at 6:06 a.m. in the Signature Healthcare Center, Lafayette.

Jeff was born in Danville, IL, on October 30, 1949. He was the son of the late Harold C. and Evelyn Myrtle (Gildersleeve) Freeman. He formerly lived in Ridge Farm, IL and Lodi, IN before moving to Attica in 1957. He graduated from Attica High School in 1968 and later moved to Lafayette in 1973.

While living in Lafayette, Jeff worked with various companies. He had worked as a salesman for the Champion Windows and Doors Company.

He was a Purdue sports fan and enjoyed spending time with his family. He also enjoyed photography as his past time.

He leaves behind his pet cat, "Fisher;" two sisters, Margaret "Peg" (Leon) Ottinger and Murietta (James) Slaven, both of Lafayette; two brothers, Merrill C. (Marty) Freeman, Lafayette and Dale (Mary) Freeman, Kokomo, several nieces and nephews and many friends. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Larry, Robert and David Freeman.

Friends may call at the Maus Funeral Home, Attica, on Monday, June 29th, from 5:00 p.m. until the service time at 8:00 p.m. with Rev. Charles Roberts officiating. Inurnment will be held at a later date in the Oakland Cemetery, Elmdale, IN.
