Elizabeth M. Sharp. 82, of Lambertville, NJ, died on Sunday, November 16, 2014, at the Hunterdon Medical Center, Flemington, NJ.

Born in Trenton, NJ, Betty was a longtime resident of Lambertville. She worked at the DelVue Cleaners in Lambertville for over 20 years before retiring 8 years ago. Earlier she was a nurses’ aid at the Lagoon Care Center in Lambertville. She was active with the Ladies’ Auxiliary of the Hibernia Fire Company. Betty was an avid fan of the New York Yankees. She shared her love for baseball with her family and loved cheering her son, daughter-in-law and grandchildren at their games. One of her most cherished memories was her family trip to Walt Disney World.

Betty was the wife of the late George W. Sharp, the daughter of the late Lester C. and Margaret Strouse Hann, the sister of the late Lester Hann and the aunt of the late Kevin Hann. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Michael A. and Karen Edwards Sharp; her grandchildren Meredith Jordan Sharp and Jarrett Sharp, all of Titusville, NJ; her brother William Hann of Old Orchard, ME; her sister-in-law Helen Hann of Browns Mills, NJ; her nieces Debra Glick of Browns Mills and Darby Spanier (husband Robert) of Magnolia, DE; her nephew Lester Hann II (wife Christine) of Pemberton, NJ and their families and her extended family of friends and neighbors at the Hibernia Apartments.

Memorial services will be held on Thursday, November 20, at 11 am at the Van Horn-McDonough Funeral Home, 21 York Street, Lambertville, NJ 08530 (VHMFH.com). Committal will follow at Thompson Memorial Church Cemetery, New Hope, PA.
