KENNETH EUGENE HAMBY, 78, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away Thursday, June 25, 2015, at the Meritus Medical Center. Born Sunday, September 6, 1936, in Hagerstown, MD, he was the son of the late David H. Hamby and the late Lela I. (Bartles) Hamby. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sylvia Jean Hamby, in 2006.

He was employed with General Motors in Martinsburg, WV, retiring in 2004. He also owned and operated a painting contracting company. Kenneth was a member of the Mountain View Baptist Church; Medairy Lodge 140 AF & AM Masonic Lodge, Williamsport, MD; Moose Lodge, BPO Elks Lodge 3768; and the Rattle Run Hunting Club.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Christina Fenstermaker; sister, Mary J. Hoffman; and brother, David L. Hamby.

Services will be held at the Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, Hagerstown, MD; interment will be at the Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, Hagerstown.
