Mrs. Ellen Rebecca "Becky" Wilder, age 86 of Milford, beloved wife of the late Bolton Wilder, passed away on Wednesday, November 28, 2007.

Mrs. Wilder was born on October 13, 1921 in Mammoth, Pa. to the late William G. and Mary Baker Fultz.

She was a clerk for the New Haven Water Company, then was a classified manager for the Milford Citizen Newspaper and before her retirement she was a dietary aid at Golden Hill Health Care Center. She was an extraordinary volunteer with the Milford Hospital Auxiliary where she was named Milford Hospital Volunteer of the Year in 2002 and volunteered over 21,000 hours. Many of those hours were spent creating teddy bears for the "Wee Care Bears" program. Mrs. Wilder had served in the Women's Army Corps during World War II. She was also an active member at St. Peter's Episcopal Church. She loved gardening, cooking and used her sewing skills to run an alteration business from her home.

Mrs. Wilder is survived by two devoted daughters, Catherine Wheeler and her husband, Clifford of Morris and Chrystine Cody and her husband, Kevin of Milford; four grandchildren, Mathew Wheeler and his wife, Susan Goshen, Amy Wheeler of Freeport, Maine, Adam Wheeler and his wife, Kristin of Morris and Michael Cody and his wife, Kathleen of Milford; and seven great-grandchildren, John, James, Jaclyn, Patrick, Maggie, Antonio and Kaylee. She is also survived by two sisters, Christine Metzler and Dorothy Mintus, both of Pennsylvania, and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by two brothers and three sisters.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, December 1 at 10 a.m. at St. Peters Episcopal Church, 71 River Street, Milford. Interment to follow in King's Highway Cemetery, Milford. Friends may call on Friday, November 30, 2007 from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Cody-White Funeral Home, 107 Broad Street on the Green, Milford.
