Rev. Noel D. Burton, 79 of Circleville, died Wednesday June 24, 2015 at his residence.
He was born on February 27, 1936, the son of Charles Raymond and Garnet Victoria (Tingler) Burton. Rev. Burton attended and graduated from East High School in 1955. He attended Tennessee Temple University from 1955-1958. He also attended Bible Baptist Seminary and received a Bachelor of Divinity and concluded his education and graduated at Slidell, Louisiana. Dr. Burton continued his call to the ministry in 1965. On the 28th of June, 1963, he married Judith Ann Tinney.
They were blessed with 5 children, Pamela Gay Burton, Noel D. Burton, Jr., Candice Joy Burton, Timothy Curtis Burton and the youngest child, Amanda Lee Burton and 9 grandchildren.
After 41 years of marriage, Judith Burton went home to be with the Lord on October 21, 2004. He was also preceded in death by his parents and son, David Burton. Rev. Burton was a member of Freewill Baptist Church, where he was a trustee and deacon.
Six years after the death of Judy Burton, he proposed to and married his high school sweetheart, Norma (McKelvey) Burton. Mrs. Norma Burton, is the mother of Michelle (Dennie) Evans and Tim (Renee) Lochbaum. His family is very active in church planning and soul winning.
Graveside service will be held 1 p.m. Monday, June 29, 2015 in Memorial Burial Park, Wheelersburg. Friends may call from 10-11 a.m. Monday at the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville.
Memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home in Noels name.
