One of 11 crew members(14 crew members aboard) that perished on the Zapata Haynie F/V Northumberland on Oct 3, 1989. The F/V hit a submerged but not buried pipeline about one half mile off of the Texas Gulf coast. Fire engulfed the vessel from stern to bow instantly, three crew members managed to survive, two were badly burned. One of the 11, had initially survived than drowned.
